Mid Autumn Festival ~ 中秋节

No homemade mooncake for this Mid-Autumn Festival.  Bought several mooncakes from local & overseas and some were gifts from friends.

My god-daughter was out to school camp, We (Ling, her 3yo son  & I) were down at the park carrying lantern.  Oopss.... a recycle lantern for little J.

These were various mooncakes we had this year :

My dearest mother knew that I missed the traditional mooncake 公仔饼, she brought it over from Penang. Thank you mummy! :)

Brownies 果仁巧克力

I am not brownies fan, but I do not wanna give a missed to one of my favourite desserts ~ ice cream, so I took a small piece of brownies with strawberry ice cream.  It was really good.  Fortunately, I tried!

European Apple Pecan Cake 欧洲苹果山核桃蛋糕

I love apples, apple pie, apple strudel, etc.  Yet to tried something new that Ling has baked today ~ European Apple Pecan Cake.  Oopsss... I took one whole piece from the aluminium baking tray! Delicious!

Pecan German Chocolate Cake 山核桃德国巧克力蛋糕

Ling baked a Pecan German Chocolate Cake.  This is my first experience tasted this flavour of cake.  It's nice!

Banana Walnut Cupcake 香蕉核桃杯子蛋糕

Ling made another batter to bake cupcakes as well. 

Both her children like it very much.  I took one right after I snapped few shots of the cupcakes. Yummy !

It was quite sometime I have yet tasted Ling's banana walnut cake, I remember the it's last October that I ate the cake.
She bakes this cake occasionally just that I didnt have chance to taste it (finished before I could grab!)

Teachers' Day 2011 教师节

Teachers' Day is celebrated on 1 Sept this year.  Teachers and students had a day off on the following day.

Our good friend, Diana had some friends' request for some gift packs to be presented to teachers.  Teamwork from both Diana & Ling who baked vanilla cupcakes & chocolate chip cookies. 

Both their children brought these goodies to their teachers as well.

Rainbow Sponge Cake 彩虹松糕

Time flies, another year to celebrate Ling's mother-in-law's birthday and she is 72 this year.  Last year was Strawberry Short Cake that she baked.

This year, Ling baked her a rainbow sponge cake.

Crayon Chocolate Icing Cookies 蜡笔结冰巧克力饼干

I was supposed to go through the packing list for my 2 weeks vacation but I was amazed by Ling's colourful crayon icing chocolate cookies.

At first, I thought my god daughter did not pack her 'messy stationeries' but i was wrong!

I could not resist and I took a 'crayon' at midnight!  It's great!
