Pineapple Tarts 凤梨酥 。黄梨酥

Ling baked pineapple tarts again today.  This time she wrapped the pineapple jam inside the dough.
Most of us like this 'version' compared to the previous sunflower shape she baked last month.
Ling's little prince grabbed the tarts without any hesitation. "Yummy...", he said.
My brother loves to eat pineapple tarts too, so mum ordered several bottles from Ling and brought back to Penang.

Princess Castle

It's been countless that Megan has blown her 3rd birthday candles this year and this evening was another birthday cake that she had for another round of celebration at home.
Ling had built a castle cake.
Linda commented that it was fabulous but too "ill-hearted" to have the building destroyed just in less than 5min.
This round was a "bigger project", so we didn't manage to take more photos before rushing off to Linda's house.

Ham & Hotdog Pizza

Yes.  Pizza is every kids favourite food.
Ling's daughter loves Hawaiian pizza but she would peel off the pineapple and guess where would the pineapple goes to? Yes, either to Ling's or my mouth.
Ling thought is so expensive to order from Pizza Hut and other home delivery pizza companies, why not a homemade pizza.  This way, she could control what goes into the pizza and saves on the cost as well.
Well, here it is ~~~  Ling's version of homemade ham and hotdog pizza with mozzarella cheese.
Hmmm yum yum. Her princess was over the moon when she found out what was for lunch today :)

Cake POPs ?

Ling has been browsing through the internet and came across these cake pops.
Ok, what is a cake pops?
It is a cake rolled into small balls then dipped into candy or chocolate melts and decorate it.  So here it is, Ling's version of the cake pops!
Ling is not too happy with the designs of the cake pops.  She thinks it's ugly, but that's not the case with the kids. Her princess commented "mommy, it's so cute! Can I have one, please?"
The verdict? Simply delicious! Time consuming but totally worth the effort when you saw your kids enjoying it big time!

It was at least 12 years ago when I was in KL, a friend recommended a hawker stall selling the fried sweet potato balls.  True enough, it tasted really nice.  Been many years, I haven't bought this snack at all.
Today I have chance to taste the home made sweet potato balls which Ling fried this afternoon.  I managed grabbing some for work the next day.  The kids like it very much too.

Banana Walnut Cake 香蕉核桃蛋糕

This is Ling's hubby and princess favourite cake.
Unfortunately, when Ling baked it this time round, her hubby is out of town.  So, take a guess who wiped out the entire cake??
It's her princess! ~~~ She simply cannot resist.
Ling divided the batter into 3 portions to bake 3 loaves of cakes.  The other two were given to her princess tuition teacher and Ling's friend.
