"Smiley" Kungfu Panda 功夫熊貓便当

It has been ages I have yet prepared any charabento, ~~~ simple reason : no mood!
Browsing through photos taken weeks ago, has little inspiration to make a simple Kungfu Panda bento for breakfast today.
Used bamboo charcoal sandwich and white bread for the panda and filled with cheese.

Fox's Sweet Biscuits

Ling was browsing some cookbooks at the library and she found the idea of using Fox's Sweet to make biscuits.
Take a closer look at the middle of the heart and star shapes of the biscuits, they are filled with Fox's sweets.

Butter Cookies with Royal Icing

Ling has decided to bake another round of cookies today.
This time she decorated the cookies with royal icing instead and she wrapped the cookies into little gift-wrapped.

Butter Cookies with Royal Icing

Past weeks, we had cakes, pastries, buns and today, Ling baked some butter cookies.
Flowers, Houses and some other shapes with colourful icing sugar, Ling was not too satisfied with the decoration of icing sugar. The kids love it so much.
I will bring few pieces to share with my colleagues tomorrow.

M4SB Challenge & Giveaway Contest by Hapabento.com

I have missed Hapabento.com  contest entry in Aug, hope I'm in time to submit September entry.
Made use of mooncake storage casing to prepare for this entry and I brought it to work the next day ~ Fried rice with baked beans and minced chicken, red velvet cupcake, cheesy biscuit and some fruits.

Sun Pastry 太阳饼

Often we received gifts from Taiwanese friends their local famous pastry - Sun Pastry / Sun Cake which are nicely packed into gift boxes.
It's rather interesting to have this home-made.  Ling bought the necessary ingridents, plain flour, maltose, sugar, shortening, icing sugar, butter and salt and she baked it.

1st Bento @ Work ~~~ 自制"爱"心早餐 ~~~

Time flies, 4 months "honeymoon" at home and now back to work (a 5day week  short term job).
How to beat Monday Blues? ~~~~ Made a very simple bento to work. (cheer up myself)
Bought a small packet of "purple" bread from neighbourhood bakery, it's vanilla & chocolate cream spread and it taste nice.
Using one of my favourite bento boxes - Little Twin Stars - Manged to add "little hearts" using of nori on the bread, added a piece of snowskin green tea mooncake made by Diana and some biscuits for tea break.  The snowskin green tea mooncake taste nice, not too sweet.
