Cheesy Sausages

My god-daughter had a very busy schedule this week and I decided to make this simple cheesy sausages for her afternoon break.
Usually there will be numerous school projects to be completed when she's back home.
She was impressed with her favourite cheesy sausages, dipped with barbeque sauce, mayonnaise and ketcup. (ooppsss.... the fattening stuff!)

Cai Kuih ~ Steamed Vegetable Crystal Skin Dumpling 菜糕

Ling's mum is in town recently and all of us missed her food so much.
Aunty loves to cook, bake and making traditional snacks during her leisure.
Today she's making this vegetable dumpling which is popular among the older generation, especially the Teochew & Hakka.
The soft chewy skin is nice made and wrapped with the stir fried "bangkuang char" ~ yam bean, carrot and garlic.

Rice Bento for light lunch

Some leftover  french beans and carrots which I brought it for lunch today.
As I woke up much later than the usual days, nothing much I could prepare but just fixed the dishes and some white rice in this bento.

Salad Bowl

A fruitful and healthy Friday Morning!
Quite a number of salad ingredients were stored in refrigerator, so Ling prepared 2 portions for both of us.  We enjoyed it for breakfast.

Egg Mayonnaise & Fruits

Time flies 时间不饶人!  Another Monday morning ~~~ After the long weekend, a fresher day to start with a simple egg mayonnaise with veggies, mini sandwiches with butter spread and some fruits.
This is my 7th day at work and managed to make this charaben.
It's no exception a busy Monday to move on for the rest of the week, lots of documents to be sorted out and I was home late again! (Missed the yummy pumpkin soup that Ling prepared today)
It's been awhile I have not worked longer hours for a 5day week, but simply enjoying this new environment.

Salad & Fruit

After sending my god-daughter to school this morning, I decided to prepare a very simple salad for breakfast with the leftover red capsicum, Japanese cucumber, carrots, red cabbage and sweet corns.

Today, I used one new 'nori puncher' which Ling bought from Cake DIY, Hong Kong during her recent trip.  They are unlike other nori/craft punchers, didnt give a complete cut as mentioned by Karen.  I tried using the "crispy" seaweed, somehow it turned out "ok" with little 'hiccups'.

Simple Meals of the Day

After the great meals yesterday, have decided to make pancakes for breakfast.
Last evening went to FairPrice supermarket, WhiteWings Panjacks Pancake Mix caught my eyes as it indicated as "Just Add Water".  Well, I need something easy & fast as I have to manage other activities on Sunday.
The pancakes didn't turn out in 'good appearance' but they are very tasty!
Used the 焼き型 silicon moulds bought from Daiso, they are pretty easy to use compared to frying eggs.

Stir Fried carrots, french beans & bean curd and steam egg with minced pork for lunch.  As for the steam egg with minced pork, didn't add enough water and too much meat.... sigh :(

Bought this triangle sandwich cutter recently and I made used of it to prepare these egg mayonnaise sandwiches for my god-daughter to share with her friends after swimming lesson in the late afternoon.

We were invited to our good friend - Karen's house for dinner.  Thanks Karen!
